From Lisbon (airport)
We recommend from the airport that you follow the EO1 following signs for the IC 19 to Sintra, then take the IC 19 to Sintra (signs also say praias/colares) and follow the instructions below from Sintra.
From Sintra
Follow the signs to 'Praias' and 'Colares', follow the road down the mountain from Sintra and when you get to Colares, turn right for 'Azenhas do Mar/ Praias just after the BP garage, follow this road a couple of kilometres until you see a sign for 'praia grande/praia pequena ', turn left, and at the top of the hill before the road takes a sharp bend to the left there is a small road on the right - Rua de Praia Pequena, follow this and take the right fork/turning (before it bends to the left, keep to the right of the house on the corner) as it turns into Rua da Vigia, Quinta Beira-Mar is about 300 yards on the right hand side.
Taxi
It is possible to get a taxi from the airport (between 45 and 60 euros) but you will usually need to mention Praia Grande as most drivers haven't heard of Praia Pequena.
